all this weekend's shows were awesome....but today i'm fucking beat.

bob mould delivered a soulful performance as always. the Gutter Twins show gave me even more appreciation for their new album. I didn't realize the rest of the lineup is basically the Twilight Singers folks, but thats cool. At least now Lanegan is an equal partner instead of a "special guest". They did play TS tunes, couple of the same covers TS used to play, etc. It was great.

NOFX/No Use For a Name was kickass too. They selectively played a set with heavy emphasis on Punk in Drublic (one of my favs)....and surprisingly Less Than Jake took the stage with NOFX's gear after the encore break.

After NOFX we ended up heading to Vision to see MSTRKRFT spin. I guess now I see what all the fuss is about. They're pretty damn good. The hoochie's love 'em.

Only three that I know about that I would/am going to

22/3 The Pumpkins with Queens - got my ticket

19/4 The Mountain Goats - I'm out of the country, but I've seen them before and LOVED them, so disappointed I'm going to miss them this time around

29(?)/4 Henry Rollins (spoken word performance) - still tossing up over this

5/16/08 - The Black Keys

I will probably go see Radiohead (again) and R.E.M. as well but these are the only ones I am sure about right now.

I guess my friend is going to pay for my ticket to the Tech N9ne/Paul Wall concert.
I mean, yes, I like Tech but i really, really don't want to spend an evening around Paul Wall fans.

other than that, I'm going to check out Baby Birds Don't Drink Milk down the street after work tomorrow.

and Tegan and Sara (for like the 5th time) in May
