Queens of the Stone Age - Era Vulgaris
The Stooges - Raw Power

I haven't worked out for a long time, but when I did, these were good soundtracks to keep pushing onwards

I like the Limewax and Converge songs. I had tried to listen to Converge before but didn't like what I heard so maybe I'll give it a shot. Oh and I had actually just added that Death Grips album to my spotify. It's a lot different from ExMilitary which is all I had heard before. I prefer this newer one.

Queen Is Dead is a good Smiths song, I think I prefer it to all but Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others even though that one's lyrics are kinda weird.

if you are intrigued by converge i urge you to see them live. they are one of the most intense and exhillerating shows i've ever seen in my entire life. i don't listen to them all that much but they make so much sense when you see them live. the frontman does all the graphic design for the band too, i think he's pretty good. jane doe has a great cover.

MIA is great without context about who she is/what she thinks. she's ultimately an upper class person that likes to pretend she's the proletariat because she's tamil. there's an NYT article where she really comes off very badly because she's absolutely the upper class and always has been but she's oblivious to her privilege. so i just ignore all of that and pump up the volume.

Yeah Converge is something that I can respect but I feel like I haven't been in the right mindstate for it. I have had less patience for finding new "guitar music" of any kind for some reason. I can imagine them being amazing live.

And MIA is an act who puts the cult of personality pretty far up front so I find it hard to ignore it. I'm not really sure it's about class hypocrisy or whatever, just seems annoying.

I need to find more sad dance music to listen to like Caribou, I will listen to anything to that effect.

When he finally (hopefully for his sake) gets his fashion line going I think he will smile again. I heard his next album is gonna be pop, I'm praying for another Graduation type vibe

i honestly think he hates fame, but he hasn't figured out that's what it is because he's set his whole life's work to achieve it

He's expressed that he cares about fashion a lot more than music and I think he needs to be free to be the closeted gay fashion designer with the dressup doll wife that he's destined to become.

Axe To Fall is a good place to start, it's kinda their goofy 80s-thrash celebration album. If you dig that then try Jane Doe. Such a great band.
