Default Do you think the secret show was a preview of the residencies?

I mean, do you think that this is the mold that they'll be following for the residencies? Songs that they've been playing at all the shows so far with a few special extras sprinkled in? That's what I'm guessing so far. They'll probably throw in a few extra unplayed (with Ginger and Jeff at least) songs between their already established songs. Something different every night. I'm not getting my hopes up for the "songs written the day of the show" tease. Maybe once or twice, I don't know. Whatever the case, whoever is attending these shows, you're probably going to be lucky motherfuckers if Berlin was a taste of things to come.

It's fun to speculate every now and again. I'm just really excited for the future after listening to the Berlin show. Well, even more so than I already was.

they will play a 45 minute Mary Star of the Sea jam, and 20 minute James Iha song medley, and close with Rock On

You must not have seen the MySpace bulletin. It's actually going to be an hour-long session of Billy and Jeff tuning about 35 guitars, then they'll take a 45 minute bathroom break, then they'll finish the set with Glass and the Ghost Children with Mike Garson doing a 17 minute piano solo. Hope you have tickets.

These are probably going to be the most heavily recorded shows in SP history. It's going to be funny as hell seeing half of the crowd standing around with camcorders and big ol' boom mics.

B0lly kept playing Friends as Lovers and Riverview after Zwan broke up... it'd be cool to see "SP" play stuff like DIA.

If they suck in any way I think I'm done.

I'm too old for this shit.
