how often do you go to church?

up until a month ago i tried to go as often as i could. i probably managed 2/3 sundays out of the month. so anyway i havent gone in over a month which im not very happy about my family seems to never attend church anymore and it's not like i can ask a household of 3 people to join me at church. im sure they'd say no because what kind of authority do i hold. and asking them to drop me would be awkward. very awkward.
however, im glad to report that i will be attending this sunday. im not sure which church, though. i might go to st.elizabeth which is the first church i ever attended regularly plus i went to school there. or i might opt for something closer to where i am. either way im excited.

so you guys can answer my question now?
and please please dont turn this into a thread about religion because no one cares what you have to say.

i use to go a lot when i was a kid. my elementary school had a church i was fond of and id go there, and just pray to God. even then i was questioning my belief in a God but i felt that if he had existed or if there was some supreme power might as well spend some time praying to him. when we moved to my house in glendale hills, the church there was very unwelcoming. the armenians ran it and would give me and my mom dirty looks. ever since then, i dont go to church too often. sometimes when i visited my old neighborhood, id go to the church by my old school.

im not very religious but ive gone to church not thinking it as a place where jesus and friends chill but just a place of a higher power. i dont think that place is exclusive to church and if you want to pray you can pray anywhere without stepping foot in a church, mosque, etc.

No, but "going to church" doesn't have to have one caught up in "practicing a religion." I believe in God, I have faith He exists and I do not wish to have a man-made organization dictate what a layman says is good and is bad.

I can interpret God's messages through interpersonal and small group facilities just fine. Hence why church is of importance to me.

Only if I'm in my hometown for a holiday or special service, like Prayer for Peace or something do I go, and that's just 'cause my mother-in-law is a minister at her church. 99.9% of the time when I go I'm reminded of why I never go to any kind of church. I hate being around all those sanctimonious middle aged fools, just barely hanging onto their sanity by a thread. The only time I'm enjoying myself is when I'm speaking to either a relative, friend or someone who will actually give me a real conversation and not talk down to me like I'm some lost child.
