I just can't get into The Future Embrace, I really do not like the songs/production. I've tried many times to sit down and listen to it through. He's written stronger electronic based material.

No it is a good album. Listen to it on a better stereo.

I listen to my music through my big studio monitors. I've listened to it in my car, on my old stereo system, on my Audio Technicas headphones, and my studio monitors... my opinion hasn't changed.

I especially dislike the percussion sounds.

I think it has good guitar tones that sound better on better stereos. Though admittedly the sounds are compressed sounding.
Maybe you need to re-evalutate your relationship with Billy's mid-career music.
