it sounded great wtf are you talking about. love or hate the song it sounded lively & leagues better than the album version - in all honesty i wish they'd just record the band live and have bill record vox later or something cos there's really just no comparison

and now that they've bailed on each other for good, you think he's gonna pass on the biggest songs he ever wrote out of some kind of respect for the brother he actively hates, lol? even Roland Orzabal was singing "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" like a year after Curt Smith was out of the picture

It sounded better than the album version, I'll grant you that. I suppose the performance was technically proficient, it's just the song is so corny and Corgan's vocals are sorta cringe-worthy these days with the whole "We're gonna make this happppppppaaaann" - I couldn't help but to smirk and roll my eyes. It's like he's trying to make a profound statement, but there's just nothing gripping or interesting about the melody, lyrics and music.

I dunno, he doesn't do any of the other Liam sung Oasis classics. Wonderwall's kinda sacred at this point, just seems a little weird.

For how incredibly dull and predictable you criticisms are, I feel compelled to throw this cliche at you..

Show us your gripping and interesting music.

Dad-rock at its worse. This song is so sickening from the first time I heard it until now.. both the album version and the live version are.. oh so bad. You can see Colbert about to laugh at the title of the album while reading "no future, no sun" he's trying to hold back lol

KoM is a good choice to play here. What other new song should they play? One of the completely predictable, generic ones that every viewer will have forgotten 5 minutes later? Aren't we constantly shitting on Bollster for playing it safe and shitting out songs crafted to formula?

KoM is the only song I even remember of Shiny Bright, and yes, I like it. Would I call it great? No, but at least it's a but different and not in a bad way.

Really enjoyed that...surprisingly. Works well live. James' dynamics really have been the missing key to the band.

I don't understand how Billy never realizes it sounds better without the whoa-whoa-whoas and la-la-las, like the do it live.

Cos Rick Rubin probably opened one eye and grunted "sure" when asked by Billy if he should keep them in, before rolling over and going back to sleep.

lmao

I like to think (or at least hope) b0llster bringing the song sans-woa's to television is a sign he's over them & they won't be making there way in any such form to Shining 2

Well that song was a great fucking bore.
The most interesting aspect of the music by far was James Iha's contribution.
In the 90s his contribution was just the cherry on top. Now it's the whole damned sundae. I guess the weird Pink Floyd chorus is now the cherry.

Jimmy Chamberlin looks like he's been on a cardio regime whereas before it looked like he just spent all his sweat time with the weights.
