so I'm slightly interested in the new SP song
since it's going to be the first that is not a dumb spirits retread...
also BC said that the 4 songs for the 2nd EP are significantly better than the 4 songs from the 1st EP. I mean of course he's going to say that...but it makes me somewhat curious nonetheless. do we have any kind of date on when the 5th song comes out (not counting that little instrumental he released)? |

Astral Planes would've been really good had he not sung the same stupid lyric over and over 1,000 times.
Total missed opportunity. Song For A Son was the only legitimately good song of the 4. Astral Planes would've been pretty excellent (that bridge is FANTASTIC) had he just taken a little bit longer to write some real lyrics. |

Yeah, Kerry posted a tweet a while back when he was mixing Tom Tom, so my money's on that one being next. I'm actually really hopeful this one turns out. I really love the live version of it.
After that, we'll probably get "When the Cocks Crow" since there was footage of Billy playing it in the studio. No telling after that though. I halfway also suspect that we might get As Rome Burns in this next batch, as it was mentioned in the Rolling Stone article as being on Billy's list of Teargarden songs. It seems to me that if that one's gonna get recorded, it'll be sooner rather than later (and it gives the next EP the same kind of dose of pre-Jimmy departure SP that Song for a Son did). But that's just me spitballing. |

i dont know why people complain about the lyrics on Astral Planes, as a lot of bands use repetative lyrics probably
