So now Billy has his own segment on Montes blog where he'll answer a question a week. Its called "Bills Corner" hahaha.

HU must be sad. They put out a quality blog for years and years and Monte puts out one and right away Billys all for helping make it as big as possible.

how do you know he won't use your pedals? what makes you think he has dismissed them? wouldn't that be a bit weird after going through the effort of acquiring them?

Yeah whatever did happen with the pedal thing? He just got the pedals and never got back to you on whether he enjoyed the sounds or not?

I wouldn't get overly upset about the Monte thing though... Billys probably just happy theres a guy spending so much time on having an up to the minute updated non-critical website that can be a source to update SP fans in a way that SP.com wont... I'm sure Montes beliefs are of no concern or care to Billy, as long as he doesn't start slidin' em into the site...

One cant help but think hes just giving Montes site the big push because hes pissed off with HU being to critical and honest with their opinions... which sucks for them... They really did a hell of a job with that site... well besides the podcasts... Those were just embarrassing.

Please. They put a huge amount of effort into trying to refute any amount of ciriticism, no matter how minor, towards corgan. One time they slip up on a podcast, by talking about their personal home renovations instead of the new TBK songs, corgan happens to listen and starts getting pissy with them. Only since then has HU been a little more critical towards corgan. It's the classic 'I will love you until you say something bad about me' on both ends.

not sure the same thing will happen to monte. seems like a match made in heaven

i don't see how this has got anything to do with hipsters united. (one can think about how they feel about it, as mentioned in the first post, but i wouldn't make them part of corgan's decision to start working with monty's blog.)

i think billy is just feeding monty because he's a guy who will work hard for free, which is quite convenient, i guess.
just a shame that billy hasn't noticed that monty is a complete idiot who cannot write half a sentence without a mistake, and is making up random nonsense as content for his blog. i personally wouldn't want to be associated with anything that bad, and i can't imagine anyone would.
what he also missed is that monty is a big jerk and a lot of people hate him. so that's another reason why it's a bad move.

Let me put this out there once and for all. I don't hate gay people. I just couldn't support there life style. But I also am not judging them for living the way they do live. Just like I don't support the life style my straight friends who live with there gf/bf. But I don't judge them for that. That is there choice, not mine.

2 weekends ago my wife & I had dinner with some very wonderful ladies who happen to be lesbian. And I have been doing some computer work with 2 other ladies of the same life style that are excellent people.

So once again let me be clear, I don't hate gay people.

Now that this subject is clear. Onto something more SP related.

I don't see HU & Crestfallen as 2 competing news-blogs. Each site have there strengths. Its good for the SP community to have choices on where they get there SP news.

Mormons put a lot of leg work into the Prop 8 thing in California a few years ago - but other denominations (Catholics, Protestants, Born Again Christians, Jewish Congregations, Roman Catholics, Evangelicals) contributed far more money to the cause. Mormons are just easy targets to segregate and point out.

That said, I could see BC doing this whole interview thing for about a month. But perhaps this is another way of him interacting with the fans in a more straightforward manner, which I totally, totally appreciate.
