Default Ticketweb - Asheville Show - Not Good News

I just talked to someone at Ticketweb over the phone about the on sale tomorrow and the guy said anyone who gets tickets for one day should consider themselves lucky because they're expecting there servers to possibly go down and all shows to sell out within 1 MINUTE. He said they had a string of maroon 5 shows that sold out in a minute so for a band as big as SP they're expecting the same thing to happen. So, yea, that's not good. I'm was going to cross my fingers to get into those last three shows, now I've gotta hope I can get into that last one.

great news.

Were trying to get it for either the weekend or the july dates. We're going to bid on the tickets with 2 computers because we're buying 3 tickets, so maybe that will help. But it's obviously not looking good.

People who are going care. I'm sure you'd really care if I was the only known person around here that had a recording of both video and audio and decided to not share. Be thankful for tapers and filmers, there aren't that many of us.

I think its a really bad to only let the people who buy the tickets go to the show, for those people dying to go, but the website goes down on them, they cant even get tickets off a tout.

Asheville is loving this, their claim to fame is some Maroon 5 shows that sold out in a minute (!). The locals are so starved for anything, just like my city. It's going to be Woodstock for SP fans with people going to multiple shows.

haha, very true man. My friend has lived up there the past few years and said whenever they get pretty much any kind of show it sells out immedietely. SP fans will be lucky if they're able to get tix to multiple shows, I know I'll consider myself lucky.

Actually, they have the Biltmore Estate too. I thought that was pretty well known, but maybe it's just known to those people who don't spend all day on a message board.

haha, this is true, that place is nice, when I went up in December to visit my friend we were going to go but I was only up a few days. Asheville is kinda like a party town with nothing to do but drink if you're young.

Jeeze... you must forgive me. I didn't know they had the 8th ranked American structure as voted by the American Institute of Architects. When I visit Ashville I usually spend like 2 weeks there... YOU TOTALLY CAN'T SEE IT ALL IN ONE DAY!

/again, I must apologize...

Even though I detect a slight bit of sarcasm there, you're forgiven!

Do you think The Hardcore SP Fans will atleast get a pair of tickets for 1 of the 9 days though? It will be total bullshit if all the locals snatch them up. I heard that the site might actually crash? Who says that is a totally bad thing? Doesn't that just mean that if you're the first to get back on, you still get tickets?

I hope this doesn't end up like another Cat's Cradle fiasco.

Given I still got to go, but that was so incredibly nerveracking.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but I don't think Ticketmaster is going to save anyone because it has a larger server - it's just going to re-direct everyone to Ticketweb in a new browser when you hit "Purchase," so actually going through Ticketmaster seems like an extra step and extra time wasted....

I'm on the page right now where all the tix are listed as On Sale Soon. No 404 here.
