Group G is interesting, with Brazil, Ivory Coast and Portugal. Germany's going to have a tough time as well. Our group should be manageble. I don't think the hosts will be too happy though.

we'll probably play fabulous for a couple of matches, and then suck badly in the next and get beaten by some B-grade country.

shut up
my other two national sides (US for obvious reasons and the Dutch because I like the way they play) look like they'll advance. Well, the Dutch look like they're going to run away with their group. I dunno how good Japan is though. Can't wait for this. I get into national soccer more than the club stuff. I can't pick a team on the club side, it always feels like I'm front running and I'll be damned if I root for Man U or Barca. I kinda like Liverpool but still... |

I think NZ have a great chance despite being only the 32nd best team in the competition.
Slovakia is only like half a country without the Czechs and Paraguay is one of these sham south american military dictatorships type affairs basically so that's them done. I mean what do they have going for them? An abundance of tropical fruits? Drug cartels? What? NZ for round 2! All Whites, all the way! |

because they're really good, and it feels like front running to just jump on the bandwagon. i don't hate them, i hate chelsea. I have a lot of respect for barca.
i also don't get a lot of opportunity to see club soccer in the states, and now that i don't have cable i don't even get to catch the UEFA games on ESPN 2. also it's really hard to remember when UEFA matches are going on because I'm in a vacuum without a league to watch. so it's like every two weeks and i forget and i don't get to see it. I watched practically every match of the Euro though. Which reminds me, where are the Turks!? |

i can almost guarantee that France will make the last 8. Lead-up form counts for absolutely nothing.

I missed a wide-open goal last night and everyone on the pitch, to a man, began to chant: U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!
Obviously, the English are shaking in their boots. |

Can anyone who follows this tell me how this guy Bradley is shaping up the american side? Does he have the right players and play them and such...i heard Arena towards the end was doing nutty things with the roster and playing time.
I know we're underdogs to England, but fuck that. We gonna take down your kingdom loving asses regardless. |
