New Jersey > Florida

Like, really. I've spent time in both, and New Jersey was farrrr less offensive.

I remember saying this the night Tronald Dump got elected, but it bears (bares?) repeating: Florida really needs to be broken off from the country and sent out to sea.

But not before reprise makes it outta there.

I'm only familiar with New Jersey insofar as it was featured in episodes of COPS about heroin and tenement buildings.

Seemed nice enough.

Elpho made a recent plug, if that's what you're referring to?

I've been wondering what to start on after a period of nothing, myself. It's currently a toss-up between The Trial and an extended version of Exodus with labeled diagrams.

I finished The Trial and it's like I GET IT but I don't GET IT you know what I mean

I felt better when I looked up analysis and found disagreement everywhere

Also I didn't know his books were all unfinished that's Punk

Also wondering how much is lost in translation for example the word he uses for Trial also means "process" but is not really used how it is in English to where it can mean "test"

As far as I understand at least maybe someone who knows languages better scolds me

i finished reading a house for mr. biswas a few weeks ago. it took me a while to get into but once i ran past the halfway mark or so i tore through the rest. paul theroux always talks about v.s. naipaul in his travel books so i gave it a shot. it was pretty funny, but in a cerebral, bemused chuckle sort of way. like, huh. that is some funny stuff.

then i read drinking: a love story, which was great.

now i'm close to finishing every song ever and his interpretations of music can feel so abstract to me, but it's pretty interesting. i haven't heard a lot of the reference material, though. maybe it would make more sense once i listen to that.

it's a compelling book for drinkers and abstainers alike.

Damn... it appears no libraries in the region have it. Odd... It certainly appears to be a well known book.

Hey Slunk, have you ever read Clive Davis' memoir from 2012? I just finished it a few weeks ago. It's fantastic. You should check it out, I think you'd really like it. Best book about the inside workings of the music industry that I've ever read.

I'm reading Bruce Campbell's new memoir. The best parts are the non-film related stuff. Like, just shit about bombing around in the backwoods of Oregon in his old truck and skunks sneaking in through his cat door and whatnot.
