Blues Brothers 3 in 2010

In 2010 Blues Brothers 3 will see the light. The movie will be dedicated to john belushi, john candy, cab calloway, ray charles and james brown.

Starring: Dan Aykroyd, Jim Belushi, John Goodman, Aretha Franklin, B.B. King, Eric Clapton ...

The amount of people that needed medical assistance after a matinee showing of "Blues Brothers 2000" was staggering. So much so, that star and flag-flyer Dan Aykroyd would surely never, ever, consider a second sequel...would he?

Talking to The Chicago Sun Times, the "Christmas with the Kranks" star announced that John's going to be spinning in his grave - again - he does indeed have plans for a "Blues Brothers 3".

"We might do it straight-to-DVD," he says. "I don't think we'd ever get the financing for another feature. Jimmy Belushi [John's brother] will play the heir to the throne of Albania in the next movie."

Belushi was originally rumoured to be the star of the abysmal "Blues Brothers 2000" before John Goodman stepped in.

From the sounds of it, Universal, who have been doing a slew of direct to disc sequels lately, have offered Ayrkoyd the chance to do a new installment for the Blockbuster brigade.

If you must do it lose the frickin' zombies this time, Aykroyd. Please.

My best friend from primary school made me watch a blues brothers movie with her. I didn't like it, I don't even remember what happens in it. I think its her favorite movie to this very day.

blues brothers 2000 was good for about 15 minutes but then it went to hell

In other news Akyrod and Co. are doing "Ghostbusters 3" as a videogame instead of a movie. That's the same strategy that worked out so well for The Rock's "Spy Hunter" movie that became a game instead.

Also, what the hell is that kid doing on the Blues Brothers 2000 poster?
