you'd think much of that would be cringe worthy, but its quite the opposite if you enjoy outstanding overall musicianship.

the 70's live musician was by and large a bad ass, no matter the genre.
I find it all to be terribly boring praise punk amen

That's the funniest thing about GnR they formed in 1985 at least Aerosmith and such existed pre-punk

The Cramps dropped Bad Music for Bad People a year earlier and people still thought GnR rocked?

the truth though is there's some punk to be found in GNR's sound somewhere. Duff used to be in seattle punk bands before he moved to LA. I remember that guy from mudhoney writing an article about the seattle scene in the 80s and how when Guns played seattle the first time, a lot of the hip bands from the seattle scene went to check them out cause they knew Duff. I also remember he said everyone was disappointed.

I mean garden of eden sounds fairly punk if you remove axl and the solos and the last part of the chorus with the 70's metal riff.

Sounds pretty punk if you just remove the vocals and the guitar solos and the lyrics and the buttrock riffs and...

That second song is a fake Sex Pistols song complete with an attempted accent

I'm dying over here

Edit: or is that Slash singing?

Yeah it took me a second. I knew it was familiar but I am not a big UK subs fan

All of Spaghetti Incident is literally a cover album apparently I rest my case I think

Yeah man, but it only features songs that they've been influenced by, so it explains the punk tinges in their sound.

A song like this is punk as fuck

I don't hear any resemblance whatsoever

Falco still sounds better than Axl Rose though

Haha a little bit with the Falco thing, but there actually is a weird similarity there, at least on the song you posted.

who exactly will be involved in the reunion? Axl and Slash? Izzy? Duff? Can Adler ever play music anymore? I thought he was a vegetable at this point after 30 years of drugs.

Word is the only original members to be featured are: Axl, Slash, Duff and Reed. Most people assume Izzy doesn't wanna take part and theres no way they wanna commit to someone as unreliable as Adler (even though he's toured over the years in "Adlers Appetite"- a GNR cover band and played the parts well)

Theres been a lot of hints that Richard Fotus ,Frank Ferrer and Chris Pitman from Axl's touring lineup will take part.

So all and all the lineup should look something like this:

Axl
Slash
Duff
Fortus
Ferrer
Reed
Pitman

with 1 mystery guitarist added, some people think it might be Dave Kushner from Velvet Revolver.

So it's actually less of a reunion and more of a combining of the 2 eras of lineups.

I'm not so sure of that, A lot of those songs are staples in the set. I wouldn't be surprised if they keep a couple of the songs in there... After all they are keeping a handful of members from that era.

Another note:

Even though Izzy and Adler aren't expected to partake in the world tour it's largely assumed that each of these guys will make guest appearances to play a song or 2 here and there at different shows along the tour.
