TFE feels like I follow up to Adore to me. Just like Adore it has 5-6 good songs, 1-2 ok, and the rest are pretty bad.

To Love Somebody is so haunting and beautiful. Most of the album is heartwrenching but that song he did with Robert Smith is just overwhelmingly sad.

good songs:
To Love Somebody Mina Loy A100 DIA Walking Shade Tilt ok songs: All Things Change Now and Then ...just these songs and tfe had been a good album basically. ;-) ___________________ utter fucking shit: Pretty Pretty Star (I remember one part of this song had something like emotions... but it was just too short... rest of the song he sounds like a little child playing in the garden with flowers...) Strayz (this is as boring as sitting in a zen-position) Camera Eye (this is probably one of the worst songs I know...) I'm Ready (the instrumental-intro ist good. interesting sound/harmonies. very 80ies-like. yet the vocal-melody is horrible!) Sorrow (the refrain is not sooo bad but the verse sounds like from a nursery rhyme) these songs are so bad that they destroy the whole album... |

now and then is a good example of a tune that starts out great, has a great idea initially but doesn't develop from there.. it just stays at the same boring place and doesn't go anywhere. this is reflective of the entire album.

You think billy made other bit tracks for the missing numbers like bit 1 etc? is there a studio version of Never Too Young?

I haven't heard of Never Too Young. If it's a cover song then it will have been because I'd have ignored it, so is it a cover song?

you were mine was a chicago song. it also popped up during some of the poetry reading shows and at that one benefit show in september 04, along with come back home and say goodbye
never too young is an original i think |
