It's possible but probably not. I'm honestly not familiar with much after Monster so it was only yesterday I learned Up was their first tour without Mr. Berry.

listening to disc 2 of this thing now. kinda surprised how little these outtakes/demos have to do with the album itself, they sound more like New Adventures demos if anything

they were really cool about actually re-purposing older songs throughout their career, similarly to New Order and (more directly I guess) Radiohead

&

to name just a couple...

won't catch b0llups corgan doing that! aside from the one time they brought back a 666 riff for One & All or whatever

anyway, I adore this band

That's like saying Adore influenced Kid A. But those were just traditional records with a sprinkle of old-fashioned electronics

Kid A is the the second coming of Christ, for Christ!

Maybe I’m dreaming but I’m pretty sure at some point Thom said Up influenced Kid A. Godrich worked on Up, too.

Radiohead had opened for them on the Monster tour so they new each other, yeah

Still, despite its promising title, album's a fucking downer

But then again these are just my 2ç, gents

"new" each other and were mutual fans

Up obviously had some kind of impact on the Oxford Five... it's time to cut the SHIT!!!
