I find the zero figure bizarre. I get what he is going for, but he doesn’t do a good job of conveying it. He wants to be like Bowie, but no one gets it.

I just like that Bilbo has said the album really doen’t have a theme and is just a collection of songs, but the merch apparently has a theme.

Then he says all of his works are inter-connected with a story. Then no one understood the silvery video so he had to explain it to us. Now he has to redo Machina entirely to tell the story and he will probably have to explain that to us as well.

I want to say he lacks the discipline needed to pull off a character, but at the same time it takes quite a lot of discipline to write and record as much material as he has, so that can't be it. More likely, I don't think he really cares about creating a particular character, he just wants a vehicle he can use to escape from himself, when it's convenient, sort of like sometimes it's a jeans day, and sometimes is a man-dress kind of day. I did something similar when I was ten years old, but instead of a dress I'd put on a Star Trek communicator pin.
