sleep is amazing but i don't consider it very good music for getting stoned. they seem to think otherwise.

i just fail to see how the sleep record is some holy grail of the genre but then again i never got into that genre too hard to begin with

i don't think it's the holy grail of anything, i just enjoy it

it's better than 95% of the things usually discussed on netphoria

If you know anything about the so called "stoner doom" genre, how could you possibly have trouble understanding why a record like dope smoker would be the holy grail

Yeah this seems like a very un-Slunken statement. You realize what it sounds like you're saying about non-current music right

did i tell you i snagged an original pressing of Velvet Underground & Nico from my pop? It's not in great condition but it's definitely first pressing.

that's not all either, i mean he has more at the house i just "borrowed" these but i've been too happy with them to give them back and he doesn't listen to them and they'll be mine at some point in the future so i don't really see what the difference is.

i also have the band's s/t, after the flood with dylan and the band, blonde on blonde, uh let see what else, moonsong, townes van zandt, i should have got the songs of LC he said he had it but i didn't see it. there's some other ones.

my dad has good taste.

when i was little the first house i lived in with my folks burned down so we lost all our stuff. i could only get into my dads music through what he started rebuying at best buy in the mid 90s back when their cd prices were really cheap comparitively

my parents are really young so they missed all that folky stuff which naturally is why i avoided it for so many years - i just didn't know anything about it at all
