billy said someone had the flu. took a lot of work from the audience to get them back out!
lisa's keyboard broke and billy told her to leave the stage--jokingly--she did, but he made her come back.
the intro to Tonightx2 was done on organ, and lisa played the duhduhduhduhduhduh---Charge! music first, making jimmy and billy crack up.
reminiscent of the chicago sun-times reporter rant, billy told us he'd play more if we would all email the SF chronicle fuckhead who gave the show a bad review.
except for the ppl who stayed and cheered their asses of to get them back out, the audience was terrible. half left---though the band stayed backstage an extra extra long time.
immediately once onstage, jeff took a deep breath of the weed smell and him and billy laughed---they seem to really have a good time together, and weed must be their little joke now--
they teased something else i can't remember, and billy said 'god bless you jimmy, no...not you jimmy, well...you too jimmy, i mean...that jimmy'
did the white rabbit part again today, that's really cool live.

well ppl are trying to sleep next to me, better stop typing.
not as good as the other 2 nights (1st-18th, 2nd-17th, 3rd-tonight), but it was still awesome, and it was great that the small audience got them to come back out, he seemed to enjoy it!

i will post a lot of video..

billy talked to me for a long time after the show... it was great.

I asked him how sick was he, was. He said it had been for the past 6 days.

And then he said that open video taping at all the shows. this will be the policy from now on.

I told him I would pray that he gets healthy again.

He said he doesn't like banter because he is afraid he might get called on it..

i think you mixed up your dates there, because the 18th was last night, no show on the 17th, and you said 18th was your least favorite show

I was there when billy came out post-show also.. he said he personally has had the stomach flu for 6 days.. which seems almost medically impossible, but whatever he has it's unfortunate.. some australian guy said "see you in australia in january billy!" and BC said "hopefully"... monte didn't tape post-show this time so I think that might have kept BC in a better mood than on the 16th

the show opened with suspiria theme again.. i'm pretty sure there was no opening music on the 16th, or if there was it was different

during the united states intro, BC said "good evening ladies and gentlemen, and the rest..we are the smashing pumpkins.. welcome to our live show.. this is a song you can all relate.. its called united states" (trying to rhyme)..

at some point he said he's not going to talk tonight because it gets him in trouble

there were piano problems before 33, as you can see in monte's video.. check it out for the banter

after to sheila there continued to be piano problems.. billy told lisa to get off the stage.. billy/jimmy started teasing "blister in the sun" by violent femmes, and on the drum beat billy said "goodbye, goodbye" to lisa.. it was pretty awesome, but then he said just kidding, get back here.. then she teased that "charge!" music from sporting events as said above.. billy said this will be a special version [of tonight tonight] with special sauce (because of the different organ intro).. she played for a while and then billy just said "thats enough" and jimmy started.. lisa probably got fired

first set ended at 1207am.. ive never seen it happen at a show where the lights and muzak turn on but people cheer so loud that the lights get turned off again and the band returns for another encore.. that was pretty incredible.. I think the core crowd was definitely more into things last night than nights 1 and 2, whether or not you think the performance was as good as night 1/2

interesting how 1979 and muzzle keep getting dropped from the setlist

I'm liking Live Death From Above...I think Billy should throw a 12-stringer in the mix and really get it going.

I thought so too. Muzzle in particular seems to be on most of the setlists but keeps getting dropped…I think the last time they played it was during the first couple of Asheville shows.

Billy’s mood seems different than in Asheville (although it could be because he is not feeling well). Though by what some of you guys are saying it seems like the San Fran crowd hasn’t been as enthusiastic as he would like. I also find it kind of weird that they haven’t played any new “rarities” yet after 3 SF shows…although they still have another two weeks left for that. Thanks for the review.
