A friend who had never heard anything but the singles, Siamese Dream, and Adore once asked me to make a cd comp for him of my favorite SP songs that he's never heard. It took me weeks to do it, because I was so worked up over what songs would best represent the band and why I loved them, and the order needed to flow just right. I don't know why I took it so seriously. I feel like I'm not even capable of making a top ten list.

Something else I would have liked to do with this data is find correlations between songs chosen, as in: do a lot of songs that have "fuck you" in them also have something like "jellybelly?" Would make sense, right? It's easy to do once u have the data by just dividing the number of lists they are in together by the total number of lists they are in.
The only reason to care is because u could then sort of determine what kind of music someone will like based on one song they like..... please forgive me for being nerdy. |
