I know this is really just a commercial but he's cool in this. He looks and sounds healthy.

Love hearing Corgan talk about technical stuff. About the only thing I still respect him as is a guitarist

Yeah, he sounds pretty sharp in that video. The guitar sounds nice, too, though I wonder how consistent the sound is going to be from each one. I'd like to know what his go-to strings for acoustic guitar are. Maybe they'll be the defaults that come with this guitar.

I also wonder how his Reverend guitar is doing in sales. I'm kind of tempted to get one, though I don't have the money, and already have a mountain of guitar gear. Still...

And what the fuck ugly T-Shirt BILLY is wearing?

It's the second edition fangroup shirt of the SAD MACHINES, "the (1001th) SP mecca" from Facebook!
Now they are bugging with comments like "He's wearing our T-shirt again!" on social media sites feeling like his honorable "elite" fangroup.

They are such CRY BABIES that you get thrown out of their closed group if you make a joke like posting the NIRVANA Nevermind-cover on their latest stalking picture of his son AUGUSTUS, standing shy in the edge of a swimming pool with a life jacket.

400 of this guitar are for sale. Half of them in the United States.
Which also reflects todays influence of Billy's Smashing Pumpkins.

The Smashing Pumpkins star co-designed the limited-edition Billy Corgan Signature Model Jumbo Acoustic Guitar, derived from the standard run LJ16R Jumbo, which is one of two newly announced additions to the company's LJ line.

The signature edition sports Corgan’s zero logo on the headstock, a TUSQ nut and saddle, Gotoh vintage-style tuners, brass bridge pins and no pickguard. For still more desirability, 100 of the already strictly limited run of 400 guitars will ship with an exclusive Brown Sunburst finish.

...

The standard run guitars will slot into Yamaha's existing LJ Series. The new LJ6R and LJ16R models feature solid Engelmann spruce tops treated with A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement), maple body binding, an ebony fretboard and bridge, plus a new tortoise-pattern pickguard. They also come complete with an under-saddle passive pickup.

The Yamaha LJ6R (MSRP: $995) and LJ16R (MSRP: $1,575) acoustic guitars will ship in July 2017. Pricing and availability for the limited-edition Yamaha LJ16BC are to be confirmed.
I guess it's such a limited run because the BC model is selling a modified LJ16R at the LJ6R price, which is $575 cheaper than the LJ16R. I guess it's a marketing and promo thing for Yamaha and BC.

Edit:

Maybe not. In this video, the guy is talking about the BC edition and then says it's $999 with a hardshell case. But maybe he was talking about the lowest model variant.

Coz here, it says, "The Yamaha LJ6R (MSRP: $995) and LJ16R (MSRP: $1,575) acoustic guitars will ship in July 2017. The limited-edition Yamaha LJ16BC (MSRP: $1,600) will ship in September 2017."

LJ16BC

Billy Corgan chose the handcrafted LJ16 A.R.E. as the foundation for his signature model. A few sonic changes were made during design at Mr. Corgan’s request -- a slight emphasis on the upper-mid harmonic frequencies creating a better listening experience for the audience and a bit more detailing in the low-mid range to help round out the balance to complement his playing style. Other personalized Billy touches are brass bridge pins, TUSQ nut and saddle, GOTOH open-gear tuners and a unique “Zero” head stock logo.

- Medium-Jumbo type body
- Solid Engelmann spruce top with A.R.E.
- Solid rosewood back & side
- High comfort traditional neck profile
- 5-ply neck
- Passive System (SRT Piezo Pickup)
- Hardshell case
- Elixir strings
- Brass bridge pins
- GOTOH open-gear tuners
- Original designed inner label

So, it comes with Elixer strings. Guess I nailed it in my answer in this thread: http://forums.netphoria.org/showpost...7&postcount=13

I started using those on my acoustic guitars a while ago after listening to them and thinking they had that clear and chimey sound to them. The John Pearse strings and bulk generic strings I used before that were completely different - dull and dark-sounding. Glad I finally tried something different.

Brass bridge pins will add a further bit of glistening sheen to an acoustic guitar's sound.
