I've watched a few episodes with a buddy before, and it's pretty funny and has it's moments and all... But I don't really understand what all the fuss is about. It's not a particularly smart show or anything.

Just came back from a wedding. The bride is a friend of my girlfriend. The groom is an insufferable egotistical army dude jock, who has basically controlled his wife's life since they met. It was an awkward time.

yeah, unplugged is one of the finest human musical recordings of ALL TIME

it's in the Miles Davis Kind of Blue category.

That shit is transcendent.

everything else is also transcendent but it's marred by production issues and has a couple of tracks that you could kick off the album and it wouldn't be the worse for it. But unplugged is unmitigated perfection from beginning to end

EXCEPT

of course that the least punk motherfucker in all the earth Dawid Grohl is playing drums

that dan fogelberg motherfucker

I've said it before, but the fact that Grohl's an outspoken fan of a wrap joint in Ponsonby where the only thing they have in greater supply than varieties of organic soda is spacer earrings and subdermal depictions of the swallow is surely enough of an indicator.

kinda just irking me

Some of Kurt's favorite foods probably failed to ignite her undistinguished palate, too.

Speaking of teenagers, it's been quite some time since I last saw anybody try to start a fight about whose liking for Nirvana is the more pure.

the person I still think of as my stepfather sort of, not actually my mother's husband anymore, gave me my first Smashing Pumpkins CD

he also gave me some Ramones but I didn't end up listening out of pure coincidence

the tragedy of my teenage favorite band quite possibly having authored my parent's graduation track could have been avoided entirely

This puts you into the proper context and makes perfect sense, but still wrecks my brain a lil.

No you don't. You just have to suffer from depression and understand a plethora of pop culture references and you're good to go.
