naw i was serious! i will say, however, i really go by my own timeclock so it may be a week, may be two weeks before i finish - just depends.
i'm also not good at being too helpful with insight in what i thought about a book. i can try, though! |

The Basic Writings of C.G. Jung - B+
Really, really good if you are into this type of thing. I had not read much of Jung since my basic psych courses in college but wanted something that covered his whole theory and not just shorter books that delved into portions of it. Was pleasantly surprised by the scope of it and would recommend it for anybody who wants to know more about his theories other than the dream stuff. |

light, fun read. i enjoyed all the different characters. i dunno. a few too many pop culture references. and it realllly dates itself in a lot of ways. but whatev, i liked it. about to start Snuff. Palahniuk's new one. |

In the realm of school-mandated literature, I'm currently struggling with The Red Badge of Courage. It's not particularly difficult, I just don't cope well with redundancy.
Otherwise at the moment I've been reading Enchantress from the Stars again, just because I like it so much. Anddd I don't think you guys want me to talk about all the Fruits Basket I've been enjoying so :x |

I felt pretty much the same way. I liked it but sometimes I felt like the author was trying way to hard to make it seem recent. Right now I'm about halfway through "Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers" by Mary Roach and I'd give it at least a solid B+ so far. |

didnt you just mention a school book you're struggling with
and who cares if you read a book in school and enjoy it, that means the school's doing something right |

Snuff - F
what a piece of shit book. ugh. i'm so disappointed. i can't pinpoint exactly what makes me hate this while i liked all of his other stuff. all of the stupid stuff with none of the good stuff. i might re-read Choke to make myself feel better. |

yea, im like halfway through Snuff and it seems lacking. im going to finish it just to see the ending. i have low expectations. maybe you didn't like it because it seemed kinda predictable - or so i thought thus far.

i dunno. i feel like i can deal with predictable. it's just.....stupid. it's like he just wanted an excuse to write a book about porn and dicks and vaginas and dildos and cumshots.
