What does everyone here think about the new Interpol song The Rover? I like it. I thought there would be more discussion about the upcoming Interpol album.

Well, if any of us comes across a time machine that can transport us back to 2004, I'm sure we'll start giving a shit about Interpol again.

Same, haven't listened to anything after the first 2 albums and it's been a long time since I've listened to either of those.

I imagine that's how it is with the Killers too for some people. Listen to the first two and like the first two and that's it.

I'm sure the music is perfectly fine it's just your tastes make me want to punch you in the face

why all this watered down almost good post punk

plus you come at it form an angle like look at these grunge dinosaurs when these bands are almost as old, there is much better post punk revival that happened just in the last few years

Paul banks, Brandon flowers, Tom Smith, and Harry McVeigh and their bands aren’t even close to being as old as the grunge dinosaurs. There is an entire generation gap with most of them. Banks is the only one whose not a millennial. And he’s close to being a millennial.

I mean I admit that the post punk scene has been dead for almost a decade now and Interpol aren’t really doing anything new with this single but most of the biggest bands achieved success and peaked at a really young age. Those guys in white lies were like 20 when to lose my life came out and went gold. So all of them are still pretty young.
