Yeah, In Flames is probably the only band I'd still revisit out of all the "newish" metal bands I used to listen to... Well actually I still listen to some Dragonforce once in a blue moon when the mood arises.

Funny little nugget: For the longest time I thought the song was plainly called Sanitarium. Must have downloaded it like that or something. It was a favorite for years, it wasn't until I picked up the vinyl that I realized it was actually called Welcome Home (sanitarium). I thought that was absolutely priceless and just a perfect name for the song... "Welcome home!". God, those guys at their peak were a massive creative force.
