Default I just found out why Wendy's meat patties are square

It's so the meat hangs over the bun

I worked at Wendy's for two years and never knew this.

In my two years there, I ate there, like, twice.

Here in Cali we have In N Out which has quite the cult following

personally i feel it is overrated, quality is inconsistent, fries taste like cardboard

if I'm going to have a burger i know a half dozen local places that are dank

assuming i'm not making for MYSELF

I'm a foodie snob deal with it

i hate in-n-out it's all the things you said and since they opened here its kind of is a symbol of the californication of austin which pisses me off to no end. i mean in-n-out is the definitive california thing, it's 100% brand

texans pretty much uniformly hate the place

Yeah, it kind of puzzles me how excited people get about a fast-food establishment when it's seen as some sort of element of regional identity.

Like, we have this fast-food place in my town that's not a franchise, so it's the only location. People post fucking Facebook statuses about going there like it's going to a rock concert or to Italy or something. And their food tastes exactly like any huge chain's, but people cream their pants over it because "nobody makes it like Peter's!"

They have, like, nothing on the menu, and their "vegetarian burger" is literally just a hamburger without the meat patty. I'm not even vegetarian, but it's almost offensive that they'd put a bun with ketchup and lettuce in it on their menu instead of just admitting that they aren't a place with vegetarian burger options.

dank originally referred to really good weed, as in sticky, moist bud

now it just means really fucking good, when describing anything

I just had the most dank burrito

it's also slightly tongue in cheek

The new Wendy's jalapeńo spicy chicken sandwich is perhaps the best fast food sandwich ever.

Low bar to clear but. It's actually good I think.

I prefer the mom and pop BBQ shack not so far from me. Pulled pork with espresso sauce or jack daniels sauce is my fav.

I used to go there once in awhile and it is overrated... I never got the love for it. Same with Krispy kreme. I prefer Dunkin Donuts and their coffee.

The Smashburger that was near me closed recently...never had a chance to eat there.

There's a Five Guys I haven't tried yet (coincidentally next to a Five Below)...heard conflicting reviews, but I need to give it a shot.

There's a mom-and-pop burger joint where I get my fix, especially during tackleball season (they've got an 80-inch TV and the owner is cool and really gets into it during Lions games).

As for Wendy's...I actually think their chicken is pretty tasty...burgers are okay but can be a little salty at times...still, they're my fast food slop of choice whenever possible.

Never had Carl's Jr., in-n-out, Whataburger and however many other regional fast food chains are out there, except for Jack in the Box (which sucked) during a trip to Seattle last spring.

There was a DD/BR (Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins dual location) that just opened by my house not too long ago. I went in one day hoping to grab some crullers...to find that their baker had walked out on the job earlier that morning. Must not be that great a place to work, considering that it just opened.
