Red face Judas MonteriotLDS

Looks like Monte's finally started to lose faith:

@MonteLDS
Oct 29
I might be selling some of my SP stuff on eBay. More info soon

@MonteLDS
Oct 29
These are the first 3 items I'm likely to sell. A Zwan Lyric promo, Blissed 7" flexi disc, and Astral Planes / A Stitch in Time 7" signed by former drummer Mike Byrne

Damn... This is big news!

If you read his twitter you can tell his SP enthusiasm is seriously lacking... And when he Saw SP in 2015 he only bought the grass area nosebleed seats... Not the actions of a hardcore fan.

I wonder if it's just a simple maturation or if this all stems from feeling being butt-hurt and betrayed by Billy.

Consider this, Mike Byrne slept over at Montes house... The vinyl signed by Byrne was likely the momento he got while he stayed over. One would figure that that would be a more sentimental type of keepsake.

Wasn't the Blissed 7" a limited time only Maddame ZuZu's exclusive?

That's surely gone up in value since the SP reunion.

no, Blissed was a freebie from Target, or TopSpin, whoever fucked up that preorder.

here you go.

5000 copies at least. that doesn't go up in value because it never had any.

You sound like a casual fan...

You're thinking of the "The Celestials" vinyl

Here's what Jonathan Montgomery is considering selling

Nice Ninja edit... You initially stated that it was a "freebie from target"

Just own the mistake and correct yourself in an additional message instead of abusing your mod privileges.

oh excuse me, yea I own it that I mix up Target and Topspin, and it was a freebie.

abusing my mod power, are you fucking daft? have you ever noticed that every single boarder can click on a nice button with EDIT on it? yes? dear god.

Obviously that's vastly different from just saying it was a "Target freebie".

The edit came after 5 minutes and didn't signify that there was an edit made... Only mods have that privilege.

I will pay top dollar for these items if Monte includes his actual residence as a return mailing address, and also includes a few hair clippings from anywhere on his body.

we could kickstart that to cover at least 5 hours of a law firm.

hair clippings for proper little monte dolls. you could go into mass production with these dolls. the address might be a deal breaker.

I'll only bid if he does another run of the Oceania-Cruise commemorative buttons and throws 1 in with each item.

Oh I see

So originally she said "this was a freebie offered from this chain store" and changed it to "this was a freebie offered from this chain store, or possibly this similar chain store"

Well that changes everything, Pavementune I think you should excuse yerself from modship & buy all of monte's things as a public act of apology

hey I'm on it, but I want that cruise button, that does go up in value!

(kidding aside, if Monte ever really gets in legal shit over a bunch of circulating outtakes, I would add to a crowdfund, even though I can't stand him.)

@Mals, As far as I know, TopSpin is only an online retailer.

I was only initially good naturally ribbing.

It sounds like his wife (or mum) said "some of this crap has to go!", so he picked out the three most worthless items in his collection to get rid of in a token act of compliance.

lol Monte isn't actually receiving any of the blame for the leaks is he? I know folks joked about it, but I actually wouldn't be surprised if he somehow botched the running of the Lucky 13 project and sent out the songs to everyone when he wasn't allowed to or some shit like that.

Something seems to have soured the relationship in a big way... I always just assumed that it was simply a case of Billy losing patience with him.
