regarding the interview, i'm not usually one to stand up for Corrigan but this dude sounds a bit dull tbh

Well for one thing, his kid had just been born and he basically went right back to work. So, work/life balance issues. Otherwise, his "lack of ability to keep things moving" and serve his client.

But yeah...he doesn't really get specific.

Billy talked about why it didn't work in his 2005 "Confessions." he basically said Brad Wood was not engaged with him, busy bragging about other famous clients he had booked while Billy was nervous and self conscious about playing "To Sheila" by himself in the studio. Same thing with "Blank Page." He had that chord sequence, was feeling very disconnected, and suddenly the words came pouring out. he also had that quote, something to the effect of "Brad Wood is a producer that molds artist. I'm not someone you can mold."
