How long can food last without power to my fridge/freezer?
Maj storm last night. Power has been off since at least 1am. Can chicken eggs and milk last, and for how long?

Eggs definitely last for a few days being outside a freezer or in a powerless one, and milk... well, you always have your nose to tell you where it's at.

if they're in a well sealed package/wrapping/container they will be alright for a bit. i assume the most spoilable food has been moved to the freezer. i mean i imagine the freezer is room temp by now but it will have kept food cold the longest.
at the 24 hour mark i'd probably start throwing things out though. |

eggs don't need to be refrigerated. Milk will be OK for a day or so.
if you haven't opened your refrigerator since the power went out everything will be OK if your power comes back on today. just be sure not to open it until the power comes back on. |

Good to hear. I opened the fridge briefly to grab my energy drink and boiled eggs.
The freezer which has the chicken has not been opened. |

 I promise, it was a power outage all across the city.However I did drop my phone the other day so my screen is really cracked. Cannot win right now. |

if have you a cooler, you can go buy ice to house some things temporarily. everything in your freezer should be okay. |
