Ma Belle
So whats the deal here? did billy specifically want zeitgeist to suck? The two best songs from the era (stellar and ma belle) are not on the regular album.

refer to the spun soundtrack vs. MSOTS, this is not the first time billy has done such a thing.

The songs stand on their own very well.
But they wouldn't have necessarily helped the initial album, and may have sounded out of place. Stella and Ma Belle are a bit more gentle and spacey when compared to the rest of the album. Not to say the tracklisting is perfect for Zeitgeist.... I'm just saying what Billy was probably thinking. |

zeitgeist is a very dull song. a turgid and onanistic arcanum.

what if you don't live in that curse'd nation, United States? Are you simply going to will the song into existence with positive thinking?

It is really good.
I can see the point of not putting it on Zeitgiest along with the others for continuity. But man, If we had an album of this... wow. |

ma belle actually has soul in it...
unlike most of the songs on zitgeist, this is one of the few songs that billy lets his voice shed emotion. |

man, what a crock. if ma belle and stellar were on the album they would be flamed.
and if 7 shades was a bonus track people would complain and say it was the best. fickle bitches. |

Agreed (w/ davin)
I think sometimes, especially with SP, the "non-album" songs are viewed as "good" because they are rare, and therefore if you like them, that makes you unique, lol. That's why so many people like Aeroplane Flies High. I hate that song. (although I'd never say that on here.. OH SHI-- ) Although I do think that if Ma Belle were on the album somewhere, it wouldn't have been ripped on as much as some of the other songs. But like I said, it wouldn't really fit on Zeitgeist anyway. |

Ma Belle sounds like a cross between Zwan and TFE.
Billy really needs to bury his vocals deeper in the mix for the next album to be good. He still writes great songs, but his vox are just not the same anymore. |

Really? The OS said it was "full length". I was going to buy it, but if it's just track by track, I've seen it. |

It's not exactly track by track. theirs some new stuff in it like takling abou the gear and stuff. But it has the part where billy goes off on jimmys nutts abou teh us drum. I did like the dvd i'd reccomend it for 10 bucks. Do remember that it's approx 20 min. It has the tranetoola vid and the ttw vid as well. Not bad for 10. 13.99 though |

Yeah, it sounds a little more tossed off. In this case however, this is definitely a good thing. This song is great, more touching than a lot of the other more bombastic Zeitgeist material
