I've often thought that the interviews Billy gave circa 1995-1998 made him come across fairly balanced. When he had the success and the masses of adoring fans, he had his personality under control.

- Violet Rays was written about an australian girl he's still in love with. He hinted that she may have cheated on him.
- Considers Tonight Tonight his one true classic song, although 1979 was a bigger hit. - Believes that he didn't learn to write good songs until Siamese Dream. - Iha bolted right after the final SP show without saying goodbye to anyone. - Talked about his family a lot (drug addict dad, abusive stepmother, crazy mother, disabled brother). - Oceania is already a success. Says he feels the positive vibes and that's all he needed for the project to be considered a success. - Best reviews he's ever received. He sounded very happy when talking about the positive reception the album is getting. - Was never romantically involved with any of his bass players. - Played Tonight Tonight acoustic.
