when did you start to not care about christmas?
for me it was i think 18. i had income of my own, spending time with family that early in the morning felt stifling, the depression had started to set in: christmas was just the sign that the holidays were over, a bleak jan/feb would follow soon - all of the cold, dark days but with none of the ostensible childlike joy of christmas

although i have been thinking -- christianity isn't really real right
so it's basically just a solstice celebration. 25th instead of 21st but yeah. so every day will be brighter and brighter, literally/mathematically. until easter, my actual favorite holiday, the rebirth of life and sunlight. and you know jesus or whatever |

I still care about christmas.
It's a good excuse to make nice gestures to other people and help brighten their days if only a tiny little bit. |

Both male & female Reindeer grow antlers. But all male Reindeer lose their antlers in the late fall, well-before Christmas.
So Santa’s Reindeer, which all sport antlers, are therefore all female, which means Rudolf has been misgendered. i think that pretty much does it for me |
