This is the stuff that makes me think it's Business Willy 24/7 these days.

Fans of the classic sound are zombies and the new record is literally trenched in synths, but i guess putting out yet another signature model and doing interviews on topics like the "evolution of the guitar in mainstream music" with Guitar Club is still good for the brand...

Billy needs to make his own line of toy Casio synths to go with his stale synth sounds. Shocked Cyr didn't come with any leftover Stylophone synths and cheap truck caps. Billy should put the same energy he does on creating a guitar tone into learning sound design with synthesizers. His synth sounds are usually very elementary and basic. Someone call Flood.

Well said, dude is a fucking amateur in the synth department. It's funny to think someone like Thom Yorke has the humility to learn everything from an assistant engineer like Goldrich while Billy, after countless hours in the studio with Flood, is still stuck with what sounds like factory presets.

i've never been annoyed by the synth sounds because they're bland or bad, i've been annoyed because generally i want to hear the smashing pumpkins melt my soul with guitar
