40oz to freedom was a fairly solid debut from Sublime, who would later perfect their sound with the addition of Rome in 2010. The pumpkins would reach greater heights with 2018's SOADBOADOBOAB:V1, but Siamese Dream was a modest effort. The albums have more in common than you think!

But seriously, everything from MCIS to Machina was like billy living in my mind, whether or not I even liked it. So these albums are more meaningful to me than the earlier stuff, even if I feel much less embarrassed to play SD or Gish in the company of others because they pass as fun bar songs.
