yeah, like i've written dumb lyrics on my phone sometimes, randomly, and even when i'm drunk enough to be open, i'm still exaggerating or lying in order to make it sound cooler, or rhyme, or be more vibey

That level of weirdness and brutality and poking you (...)? is just in the bands DNA. We're super comfortable with the uncomfortability. Everybody else has a problem with it, we're actually cool with it. It's kinda weird, we know we're doing something right when you feel the discomfort.

They played clockwork renditions of all the songs to click track at the show I saw. To say the band is more adventurous or dangerous now than they were in 1996 is laughable. They are a shadow of what that band was, regardless of Jimmy.

What's this antagonistic straw man argument Billy keeps producing? "Everybody else has a problem with it" and all that bullshit. Classic narcissism I guess?

Just give us an album of ten great songs without any filler, and without any "strange lover" silliness. We don't need 33 songs, sequels, or Teagarden nonsense.

I think he's jumped the gun on the announcement, in that it has taken the focus away from the new album. No one is gonna be talking about it.

He could've waited a month till it was out, THEN announced the announcements.

um, he did the same for TFE, kinda shifting his attention to Smashing Pumpkins. i'm assuming he already knows, like the last time, the album will be a fluke and tries to redirect the attention to something people actually want. at least in his mind.

Nobody here wants MCIS 2. He can’t sing anymore, do you really want 30 songs of that?
