anyone else think merzbow is overrated? i mean it's fun and creative most of the time but of all the merzbow albums i've heard i wouldn't give one 4/5 stars or something

merzbow is somehow put into the position of the noise-messiah and one defining noise artist to the point that even a person like you, who doesn't listen to noise, who has no connection to the genre whatsoever, can proudly proclaim LOOK AT ME GOING TO A MERZBOW CONCERT

Well I quite enjoyed the Merzbox, and said friend had me listen to tons of noise, so STFU.
But yeah, I'm no expert in the genre or have ever seen a Merzbow performance live - hence the thread.
