Default "Mellon Collie anniversary announcement with William Patrick Corgan"

"An announcement from William Patrick Corgan on the eve of the 25th anniversary of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.Sequels, tours, CYR, and Machina!"

Billy: "We're currently working on a 33 song album which is actually a sequel to Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness AND Machina."

So if they've been working on this vastly rich 33 song rock opera for a while, does that make CYR just some lazy throwaways? Way to undercut your upcoming album Bill

Lemme get this straight—

They’re dropping a 33 song sequel to Mellon Collie and Machina, a 50-something song completed Machina, the 20 song Cyr, a 10 song sequel to Cyr, a Mello Collie tour, a Machina tour, and a Cyr tour?

Lol, wow.

I don't think there is an artist in the history of the world that has written as many songs as Billy Corgan.

Probably. I am just blown away that he could write so many songs in a year.

Prince trumps Corgan in terms of output by a fair chunk. He's doing a lot these days... sure there will be a few decent tunes here and there, think quality control is likely to be a bit iffy though!

There aren't any SP albums that need or would benefit from a "sequel", especially not Mellon Collie, especially not now

Right, but this will get a few articles published and get the band 5 minutes of attention.
