this past saturday night i drove to the shore to see the bioluminescent algae that's been in the water in parts of san diego and los angeles

it was a cool experience, the roads were nearly empty and we found parking close to the water with no trouble. most people stayed distant from eachother, so that was nice.

and yeah, the waves were blue! not every single one, but probably every other one or sometimes every third one. it reminded me of the color from timex indiglo watches in the 1990s

now, i mention all of this in the photography thread because i know several of you would have been able to capture such a thing on camera. i, however, was not.

i got a regular iphone x, and i think it's the 11 that has night-mode so no luck there.

i also have a leica q, but i just keep it on the automatic settings, because i don't know what i'm doing. the two photos i was able to get make it look like it was daytime. you can see blue in one part of the waves in that photo, but it's more of a fluke. one day i'll probably try to learn.
