james is classy, that was a good answer from him.

while it wasnt a definitive no, it pretty much couldve been. im naive and a wishful thinker so im still crossing my fingers.

James isn't broke, he's in a band, he has his own things going on, I see no reason he'd go back. It's just wishful thinking.

I found it stupid that Billy said something about no more childish games, when that's all he's been doing.

I heard Billy say to some fans at the DC show who were in front of me in line that he can't work with James. He loves him but there are just too many differences. And Billy has said in interviews post reunion announcement that his relationships with D'arcy and James are still piss poor. It is very apparent that Billy & Jimmy are going to be the only original Pumpkins which is a damn fucking shame.

It really sucks and Billy+Jimmy should just form a new non-SP band.. If they would just be miserable and not work well together then it's better off that way. Nothin we can do about that, besides accept it.

The thing is Billy doesn't want to play SP songs unless he is under the SP name.

I for one haven't given up hope that James will be in the reunion.

I don't blame James at all for not giving this a second thought. Billy judging by his newspaper ad clearly wanted his band back. I took that to mean all of them but his actions in the past year cost him any shot at James. Billy is constantly trying to be a martyr even in his 'apologies' and that is very lame.

Everything I read leads me more and more to the obvious conclusion that James won't be in the reunion. I had my hopes up for a while but now they're pretty much gone.

even in this spin article billy is talking crap. if i were james, i wouldnt be interested at all. unless everything billy is saying about "getting down on his knees and begging" james to forgive him, then why would james come back?

of course i fucking hope james might reconsider, but i dont blame him for bailing on it. hes become his own artist, released a solo album, he should get some say in a band he co-founded. and billy's pretty much said that no other member will get a say over his own, which is pretty damn stupid.

sure you held a band together for 14 years, but it seems like james started disliking you more and more as time went by, and he just stuck with the pumpkins because it was a band he helped put together. i wish these two would just talk this business over, somehow resolve things.

its nice of james to wish billy the best of luck, billy is still stuck on the story that james broke up the pumpkins, while james is saying billy did it. i dont know which one to believe. but im leaning towards james right now, as hes proven to be a bit more mentally stable than billy at times.

I just finished watching an interview yesterday from 1998 where Billy is talking about how he isn't the dictator and to say that is an insult to James & D'arcy that they would allow themselves to be dictated to. Then he said something about how he needs them or he couldn't write any of his songs. Now he says they were useless and he was a dictator. I think he's full of shit. Constant contradictions. And then claiming no more childish games, but the way he talks about the reunion in every article, he's playing games.

he just said hed sit em down and would give them options if they had any problems with anything and if they didn't care, or wouldnt say anything, then he would just do whatever. Its not like he didn't ask anybody- he said once that if you asked d'arcy why he would work on a certain portion of a song for hours, she'd have no clue. Its not like he's taking anyone's work away from them, it just seems like they were apathetic about it.
