I don't mind the titles. They aren't really important, once the song is good. They've always had weird titles, no different from the likes of Moleasskiss, Appels & Oranjes, Jupiter's Lament, Tristessa, Honeyspider, White SPYDER, Feelium, Tales of a Scorched Earth, or La Dolly Vita. We just know those songs and like them so it doesn't matter.

God, this band's discography makes absolutely zero sense: A half dozen versions of Zeitgeist (but no complete one); the supposedly epic and ambitious Teargarden project that's limited to 2.5 EP's of wildly varying style and quality; the "album-within-an-album" of Oceania, which clearly just stands on its own in everyone's mind now; Monuments, which could have amounted to something if it actually was paired up with Day for Night as planned, but is just so slight and shallow on its own that it doesn't even make sense to compare it to any other Pumpkins album, and is terrible anyway; SHINY AND OH SO BRIGHT VOL. 1 LP: NO FUTURE NO PAST NO SUN or whatever the full pretentious title was, the comeback album so slight that it had to have LP in its title to convince you it was actually an album, the reunion within the reunion (or the whatever within the whatever at this point) that just further delves into b0lly's idiosyncratic shit; and now Cyr, which keeps a pretty similar art style to Shiny but abandons that project entirely, likely because it was so conceptually bankrupt and half baked to begin with, as that album didn't really have an overarching sound and was just 8 short, simple Pumpkins songs of spotty quality and lyrical content, and now the "VOL 1" in the title just seems like hilarious piss take on a once really grand and ambitiously creative mind.

Billy is addicted to making these grand and ambitious artistic concepts, but completely unable to follow through wth any of them in any meaningful way.

amazing how well Siamese and MCIS hooked us so hard as fans.. so we're still following this band even though these new songs are old Billy basically taking a dump on everyone by putting out bad tunes for the last 10 years with concepts that don't feel good and don't make any sense
