It was a strange time, he may have had touring obligations and had to get a pick-up band together. It wasn't the Pumpkins by a long shot, there was no feeling at all that this was "a band".

If the "reunion" hadn't come along, he probably would've (or at least should've) retired the name and gone solo, or formed a new Zwan-esque band.

I liked Tommy Lee's drumming on the album and it's a shame he didn't play a show with Billy (still wouldn't have been the Pumpkins though).

That album is hard on the ears due to it's metallic sound but there's a few good songs on there. Saying that, it need one ballad and one epic to really round it off - it feels unfinished to me.

I saw them live in London. That concert after Billy and Marilyn Manson made up and he came up on stage to play Ava Adore. It was in a small venue tho.

To be honest I enjoyed the concert. Billy seemed to be very laid back instead of playing to perfection – he didn't care much about the pure delivery but was trying to offer energy and to enjoy himself. instead Saying that, it was by far their weakest concert I've seen.

You're right. WPC said around the time MTAE was released that he was doing D4N and then retiring or "finding a new ship to sail on".

I'm sure he even announced the announcement of two new bands, one being "doom metal" with Jeff. I can't find anything on that though, only Jeff saying he was doing a "doom" album with WPC (just before MTAE came out so maybe that's what D4N was originally going to be).
