Yeah, I guess the difference between a cat and the rest of my responsibilities is that it can walk up to me and insist I stop being idle. My room, homework, loved ones, and errands cannot do that.

Hey, Bonnie, I just read about something called a "Kangaroo Rat." I was trying to remember which organisms other than H. sapiens are bipedal, and I stumbled onto these little guys. Christ, they are so cute, they look like they are always either plotting something or expressing gratitude. I want some now.

Once you start to like the Rodentia you never go back to not liking them. Mammals are really cool. I mean it's one thig to respect all the animals and hold them to their own standards but mammals are so much more closely related to us. They pretty much instinctly like to cuddle, and not just for warmth.
