i'm not talking about people here who actually keep up with Billy & co i'm talking about the wider world who couldn't give a shit about what the man's up to or whether or not The Smashing Pumpkins are a thing anymore but go out of there way to post and share articles about some comment he made about a potentially supernatural thing he said may have happened to him once, from a two-hour radio interview

it's just... peculiar?

maybe to you but most people aren't used to the things billy says and find that quite jarring and worth sharing

I see what your saying. ILP's right though, we're just desensitized.

But now that I think about it, you have a point. I remember in that "where are they now" type Rolling Stone article during the TBK era he talked about how he levitated out of his own body and traveled above Jessica Simpsons house I swear I'm not making that up... (could someone post the exact quote? it was straight up bonkers) And that got no headlines or attention or anything.

it was in the same rolling stone article where he said he fired jimmy and told him he would ride around in a white van for the rest of his life.

pretty sure that was the point of no return for me disliking corgan as a person. although i dont think he was being serious about jessica simpson.

it's worse than the rudest man in rock "it's a gaultier" interview

Corgan doesn't go into much more detail about his spiritual adventures — he's saving that for his book, where he hopes he can put them into proper context. Pushed to elaborate on his claim of psychic abilities, he snaps, "I can levitate to Jessica Simpson's house, isn't that enough?" Mostly, he says, "I believe in constant meditative thought. You have to practice self-love — and forgiveness."

Lol hmmm yeah, maybe he was being sarcastic. I remembered it differently. But with Corgan, who the hell really knows.
