i saw him solo in wisconsin and lawrence ks and then with nmh in lawrence and kc and all of the times were very magical. i think i liked this last time the most because i just fucking belted out my favorite songs and gave no fucks.

the crowd was pretty good, too, this last time. definitely a decrease in enthusiasm when the non-aeroplane songs played and i was with a friend who had never heard them in his life. so i was glad he was digging it.

I've seen Sharon Van Etten a couple of times - both were really good. I plan on seeing her again there.

I haven't actually listened to Poliça, but I've heard good things. I should check them out.

Kraftwerk, anyone?

I'm still undecided if I should skip Chelsea Wolfe opening for QOTSA and only go for Wolfe + Eels.

Yea I'm serious. I saw QOTSA last fall. That "balls against the wall" "we hard bros " crowd doesn't go together with Chelsea. People at a QOTSA show she opened last month or so were yelling "show us your tits", no appreciation for her music whatsoever.

So I'll rather see her opening for an Eels crowd.
