I lucked out and my sister got tickets to see Radiohead 6/13 in shitty Camden. Other than that, just WILD FLAG (again), M. Ward, and Sharon Van Etten (again). Trying to restrain myself.
They had a nice light show and I liked the setlist, but it wasn't spectacular either. The crowd atmosphere was nice though. Songs were mostly from Hurry Up and Saturdays = Youth, if I recall correctly.

I saw him there several years back and it was fun. Interpol was the early show, then Fatboy Slim was the late show. Weeeeeeird night.

The Frankenstein Brothers were solid on Tuesday though it was better when Buckethead was just playing his solo stuff.

Joy Formidable on Sunday.

Currently going to battle stations to try to get tickets to Jack White May 19th in Asheville. Tickets will sell out in like a minute.

New Cassettes were crap but Bad Veins was surprisingly really good and WWPJ rocked the fuck out.

Wow the Joy Formidable were pretty amazing live. Depending on their new album I could see those guys becoming superstars. A Place to Bury Strangers were OK though their sound mix sucked the balls.

so these were very different but both spectacular

I was a little underwhelmed by APTBS but that could be in part because of my unfamiliarity. The first band was Exitmusic, which intrigued me. Kinda wanna check them out. JF was one of the most energetic shows I've seen. Really awesome. Looking forward to the next album (which is finished).

Fiona Apple in a tiny, beautiful space... there's really no way I wasn't going to love that show. The new tracks were great. Setlist (same as it's been everywhere else, but we got two covers where other shows got 0 or 1, i think) was interesting. Carrion was a highlight. Never thought I'd see that live before this mini tour.

Wonderful stuff.
