Sonic Johnny is the only one to question the legitimacy of the reports. It's why I qualified the premise they were legit at the start of the thread. CGI and internet stunt thereafter is the easiest explanation but if the thing appeared in the sky as reported, Hologram makes the most sense to me.

hilarious video. the computer geberated voice crap is so lame. also, where are the hundreds of follow up reports. or even, where is the single verified report? its like me posting a photoshopped image and just saying "hundreds of people saw it, it was all over the news" when it wasn't. montelds could do better special effects with his greeb screen setup.

but really, why would one jump to the conclusion it was a hologram if one person, singular, claims to have seen it and one singular video claims to show whatever it is its supposed to be showing. and why. its not terrifying or beautiful and the lighting looks so off its just a superimposed image. where are more videos and verified reports of this sighting? i looked. there arent any.

The 'jump to conclusion' of a hologram is based on the China report being taken at face value. Thanks in large measure to Werner Von Braun, rumours of advanced holographic tech has been around since the 60's and its his story that the governments of the world will fake an alien invasion with it.

On that premise, these widespread reports of this news from China could be viewed as a beta-test to view public reaction.

well the most glaring thing is it being called a widespread report, of a singular sighting which wasn't seen by anyone but one person. over a very large populated area, where possibly hundreds and thousands of people would see this and report on it if it did infact occur. the only real mass sighting of anything really supernatural was those light formations over Arizona, which actually could have been ufo shit in my mind. and even those high rez NASA images that were taken down that show some pretty amazing images of what really does look like different space crafts and not just "orbs". but this supposed NASA project is really kinda funny to me. doing a beta test as you suggest what may be happening is quite a risk at blowing it, and really a poor excuses for wishful thinking. the mirage effects being used to illustrate what might be seen are so far off from each other it's kind of embarrassing to even say it could be a mirage.

it's just another way morons are using the internet to spread bullshit. it's too easy. And I see what you're saying but it's not like anyone has bitten other than using this as an argument platform for a completely different issue and scenario. if there was even another verified or a singular verified report of this even being seen or reported to anyone one might listen. Just throwing up a video and implying it was seen and reported widespread just begs the basic journalistic integrity to these terrible amateur clips and voiceovers that aren't even real people adds to the bullshit factor. TMZ does a better job with gossip and rumors and made shit I mean come on.

yup. Well, presumably hundreds saw it, but yeah, there's no other verification from those folks.

sooo... a CGI hoax being pushed as a "parallel universe" and for good measure Project Bluebeam is mentioned. The news itself is a little too self-contained and measured in the reporting of it and the spread of it worldwide rather contrived in retrospect.
