Toronto Blue Jays fleece the Oakland Athletics
Oakland trades superstar Josh Donaldson for Brett lawrie, Kendall Graveman, Sean Nolin and Franklin Barreto.
Donaldsons only been behind Mike Trout numbers wise as far as the best player in baseball goes the past 2 years. A's got some decent prospects, but you would have figured they would have gotten A LOT more for a player like Donaldson. Perhaps Billy Beanes loosing his touch. |

They're banking on Barreto being a superstar and Lawrie regaining his form.
If the sign Headly they came off OK. |

outside of a 1 month sample size, Lawries never really been all that great with the bat. Guy has a total hitch in his swing. He's good defensively but he's a chronic DL case. I don't think he's going to amount to much.
The prospects are all decent enough, but Donaldsons one of the best players in the game. I would have figured Beane could have got more. |

The Woolf's have paintings in their mansion that could boost the payroll $150 million. But that's not how they roll and that's why they like Billy and gave him a slice of the team.
Milton Bradley upon leaving the A's took a shot at Beane saying he's the one who wants to be the biggest star and that's why he trades away fan faves constantly. I can't imagine Billy Butler is all that happy because he was probably sold in part on being in a lineup with Donaldson. Samardzija on the trading block...just weird man. |

is there really any wonder that i hate baseball considering the people on netphoria who like it
the only baseball fans i can tolerate are the female ones because they aren't old white guys at heart, they're probably just glad there isn't a sport that involves hypermasculine ultraviolence (but basketball isn't and is not completely fucking boring) |

It's funny, Donaldson was talking to fans on twitter about how the A's ownership actually has a ton of money and to not believe the misconceptions out there... Then a week later they trade him. I'm thinking his comments probably had a lot to do with it.
But yeah, it's hard to understand WTF the A's are doing. Ship out Cespedes and Donaldson. Their offense is looking pretty mediocre right now. But Beane always seems to work magic so who the fuck knows lol |

I fucking love what Toronto is doing this off-season though. Their teams gonna be DANGEROUS next year. Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion, Josh Donaldson, Jose Reyes, Russell Martin and they just signed Michael Saunders- Another Canadian to the squad. I think he's going to rake in the parks in the AL East.
Toronto also has some ace-potential arms ready for the show. Marcus Stroman debuted last year and he was lights out, and I figure Aaron Sanchez will be in the rotation this year. Just has nasty slider, 98 MPH heater. I think Toronto just needs another good starter and they'll be set. |

Way to talk outta your ass.
Attendance and viewership numbers have shown that baseballs been more popular than it has been in ages. |
