smaller, more human-like teeth doesn't indicate more or less evolution. i mean like that idea doesn't even make sense. like are you saying that as dogs evolve they become more human like? will they become humans eventually, then?

They're certainly more human like and have much more profound personalities than cats.

Evolution was a dumb thing to point out, but I do think they're generally more intelligent.

Dogs have evolved by picking the bones clean from the scraps of humans whereas cats actually gotta hunt and kill their pray, so the difference in teeth makes sense.

first of all, dogs are both hunters and scavengers. they certainly haven't "evolved" to be reliant on another animal (humans) to scavenge from

but even if they weren't, are you saying scavengers are more evolved than hunters?

@Reprise and her "wut" comment.

What's the matter?

Dogs have evolved as scrap eaters whereas cats moreso rely on killing their pray. Is that too complex of a thought to comprehend for you?

They haven't evolved with humans for as long as cats have been "inside cats" or however people normally take care of cats.

Lol, no doubt, I was essentially just joking around cause they do remind me of human like teeth in a way. And of course humans are the master of the animal kingdom

Dogs and cats are both within the order Carnivora. Evolution isn't a race. I would say cats and dogs are the same amount of evolved. Their domestication differs. They're entirely different on the familiar level to say nothing of species so of course they're different...

Rats are within the order Rodentia :B. If I had to pick my order this is what I would join.

If I were an animal. If I were of the plant kingdom (arguably the dominant and coolest of the planet) I would be Magnoliales.

Or Ericales.

The truth is over the last 10 000 years or so, Dogs have evolved at a much higher rate than cats have.... Now some might even argue that the "evolution" is not for the best. Some people refer to it as domestication...

Whatever the case, Dogs have evolved much more than cats in the "recent spectrum of time". No one can argue that.

Some evolutions go unused because they don't need to be. Or more precisely, the mutations aren't advantageous. This isn't stagnation of a species if it outlives many others... I don't like to hear this "more evolved is better" talk which is an oversimplification and some kind of biological dog whistling bullshit

Cats have retained their same baseline animal ways whereas dogs have evolved to serve humans and have evolved to live in our way as we're the kings of the food chain.

go to 3rd world countries and the rate of stray cats as opposed to stray dogs is dwarfing.

How can that be quantified? What data do we even look at?
