When you're 51, grandmothers that can roll joints will be as common as teenagers that drink alcohol. And you might not be a 51 year old grandmother if the trend of people having children later and later in life (or not at all) continues.

My friend that didn't even smoke weed or cigarettes could roll the PERFECT fucking joint. She just had talented hands, I guess

Don't know why I said all that in past tense, I still talk to her, but now neither of us smoke weed. I only miss it when I have a panic attack, since it helped me calm down. Now I just have to ride them out. I don't think that eventually gets any easier, but I'll let you know.

When I'm 51, my kid will be 24. Seems okay to me. I don't care if I'm a grandparent or not (it's not really my decision) but it would be a better age imo than my own mother, who is about to turn 65 and has a 15 month old granddaughter.

I think people dont really know what they want, and just backward-rationalize from the ineffable feelings and impressions they get. That's why they will often say they want one thing, but then do another.

Haha, like trying to turn toward healthy coping mechanisms is going to work.

There's a reason we turn to alcohol and carbs for comfort. They signal those desired neurotransmitters a lot more effectively than exercise, reading, or painting ever could. Maybe with enough effort, we could train ourselves to get the same reward from positive actions. But I don't gotta train myself to enjoy these sour neon worms.
