Goodbye, America!
So tonight is my last night in the US. I leave for Denmark to study abroad for the fall semester at 3 pm. I'll be getting to Copenhagen at 7 am, their time. I'm living in a part of the city called Norrebro, which sounds pretty lively. It's going to be pretty huge, as I'll be living on my own for basically the first time in my life, cooking meals and finding my way around a foreign city. I'll be gone until late December, so I'm taking in my last night home by watching the Red Sox (really sad that this is the last game I'll be seeing in real time for a loooooong time) and then probably some Curb Your Enthusiasm on DVD later tonight. I had a really hectic day finishing all my packing, visiting people, squeezing in a round of golf with my friend, yada yada yada. I'm really excited/nervous/uneasy/anxious. I'm pretty sure I'll have internet access in my room, so this won't be THE goodbye to Netphoria post, but I'm sure I'll be posting less.
It's really strange thinking that tomorrow at this time, I'll be sitting on a plane somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean, en route to a foreign country that I'll be calling home for the next four months. This should be one of those life-changing experiences. I'm pretty pumped. |

What are you going to be studying there? I've always wanted to study abroad but I guess I favor the idea of travelling after I'm finished with school more. I look forward to hearing about your experiences from your new post in Denmark

Thanks duders...
I'm in the "European Politics and Society" concentration, which is basically a study of the European Union. What that essentially means is that I'm going there to just live in Europe, because the European Union probably won't factor into my life a whole lot. |
