I think that JC uses everything he has gone through to put his life into perspective and make it better, which makes him seem very honest. As much as I love SP's music, Billy has some issues with handling any sort of critique about him. Jimmy has straightened his life and I hope BC can do the same.

did that JP and the Cats album ever leak?
I remember trying to crowd source a group purchase of the album yeeeeeears ago, when a copy popped up. And even after telling the seller we wanted to return it to Jimmy, he sold it to someone else or something... |

I wish we had a few copies of some JP and the Cats stuff floating around, I'm really curious to see what it sounds like. Here's JC playing with Eddie Karosa's Polka Party at about age 18:

JC looks better to me, IMO, in terms of how well they are aging.

Billy avoids the sun like the plague, doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, is younger but still manages to be in terrible shape. My guess is he never exercises and also has a pretty shitty diet. |

There was an interview a while back where BC said JC was an addict BEFORE entering the band, so probably 10+ years as a heroin addict, alcoholic, and heavy smoker.

i think it's safe to say bollz is a lot more high strung.. stress can age you just as bad as cigarettes or alcohol or whatever
to play devil's advocate jimmy could've had fraxel treatment or something. kinda suspect he looked rougher about ten years ago. though the body can heal itself miraculously well over time |

is this shit bill said because there's LITERALLY NO WAY jim was ADDICTED to heroin and played drums the way he does for massively popular, heavily touring band do you people know what heroin is? what heroin addiction is like? |

The only time JC looked noticeably bad (fashion aside) was during some of the early Zwan rock shows.
The fact that he was able to take all that heroin and still kick ass every night says a hell of a lot about him. He likely worked his ass off to get clean and healthy; that's how he got so incredible at drums. He doesn't look like a washed up rockstar :ahem:, he looks like totally normal guy. I wouldn't give him a second glance if I didn't know who he was. |

it all depends on the person and their mindset.
most people see heroin additcs as these total scary-looking washed up skinny limps that can't walk without taking a fix. which is true most of the time, but not always. besides, I don't think jimmy got to that point where he needed heroin that much. jimmy used herion, but he wasn't stupid. he knew he has to go on like he normally does, because he is in a band and he is touring all the time. and he probably dealt with the side-effects of heroin really well. he never really let it 'get' to him, like it did to many other rock stars. to be honest, I don't think he stopped using up until the late zwan era, although I could be wrong. who ever said that he was clean when he came back to the band in 1999 in the first place? |

yeah, sure, he had it completely under control. it's a mystery why he ever quit.
i believe you're right about the zwan era. i think he mentioned later that he had been clean for a certain number of years, and if you calculated it, he was still using (something) during zwan. |

what I'm saying is, I doubt jimmy would have ever turned into a layne staley-like addict or whatever.
